If you are a team that was scheduled for Cooperstown or another tournament, and you are waiting for your money to be returned, let us know. We realize that many of you are waiting on money to be returned and for some, that is preventing you from registering for another tournament. Reach out to us, and we will work with your team. We are now scheduling 6 game minimum, multiple-day tournaments. You can see all the details and registration information below.  You might know us as Virginia Sports Complex, but we are under new ownership with a new vision. 

Due to COVID-19, what is offered in our tournament packages is subject to change. 

We have posted all tournament dates, and you can reserve your slot on a first-come, first-served basis. Each tournament will need at least 8 teams before we will move forward with the event.  We will have a max of 24 teams per tournament.  U11 teams are welcome, but these are primarily U12 tournaments.

Legacy Park Virginia invites you to experience our nation’s capital and surrounding areas while competing in a baseball tournament.  Our tournament package combines competitive tournament baseball including vacation ideas for the whole family!  On the field, teams are guaranteed to play six games, along with that, players receive a package of amusement park tickets, bus tours of DC.

Each Player Will Receive:

  • 6 games guaranteed, chance to play up to 9 (weather permitting)
  • Chance to play against some of the highest quality youth competition
  • Opportunity to compete in the Legacy Park Home Run Derby, Road Runner Competition, Bulls-eye Competition or Around the Horn Competition (each team nominates one player). 
  • A Chance to be selected to the Legacy All-Tournament team 
  • Opportunity to compete for Legacy Park Championship Reward
  • Bus tour of our nation’s capital. (Bus tickets are included for all players and coaches. Additional tix can be purchased for family.) 
  • Tickets to Kings Dominion. (Kings Dominion free tickets are for players only. Family members can buy discounted tickets.) 
  • Discounted Minor League Baseball tickets are available for purchase for players, coaches and family members.  Subject to weather and if the team is in town.  Local attraction replacement when necessary.   
  • 2 Legacy Park Jerseys 
  • 2 Legacy Park hats 
  • Pair of Legacy Park socks

Each Coach Will Receive:

MOCK ITINERARY

Sample Itinerary

Friday (Day 1):  Opening Ceremony and Home Run Derby

Friday night marks the beginning of your Legacy Park experience.  Teams will be introduced and get to nominate one player to compete in the Skills Competitions.  Each team will also receive manual copies of their teams entire week schedule.

Saturday-Monday (Day 2-4): Pool Play Games

Each team will be split into 4 divisions.  Depending on the number of teams, there will be 5 pool play games; 3 against the teams in your division and 2 against other teams.  Once all pool play games have been played, each team will be seeded based off of their record.

Monday-Tuesday (Day 4-5):  Playoffs and Championship Game 

Every team makes the single elimination playoff round and is seeded based off of their division record.  Elimination games begin on Monday afternoon and go through Tuesday. Championship Game is on Tuesday Evening followed by ring ceremony and the announcement of the tournament MVP. 

Wednesday (Day 6): Colonial Williamsburg Tour or DC Bus Tour

Each team will take a bus to either Williamsburg or Washington DC for the day.  Teams will have the opportunity to experience the history and culture of DC or be able to visit Colonial Williamsburg and live life as a Colonist for the day.  Later in the evening teams will have the option of going to a baseball game. 

Thursday (Day 7): Amusement Parks

Wrap up your Legacy Park Experience with a trip to an amusement park.

Week-long Baseball Tournament Costs 

$425 per player (If the event is canceled because of the Coronavirus or because we don’t have enough teams for your date, you will receive a 100% refund for your Legacy Park fees.)

This money goes towards:

6 games guaranteed, chance to play up to 9 (weather permitting)

Opportunity to compete against some of the highest quality competition 

Opportunity to compete in the Legacy Park Home Run Derby, Road Runner Competition, Bulls-eye Competition or Around the Horn Competition (each team nominates one player).
